Magnet Releasing will release THE PROTECTOR 2 on iTunes/On Demand March 27, 2014 and in theaters May 2, 2014.

    Directed by Prachya Pinkaew

Starring Tony Jaa, RZA, Mum Jokmok, Marrese Crump, Jija Yanin Wismitanan, Ratha Pho-ngam, Kazu Patric Tang, Kalp Hongratanaporn and David Ismalone

     THE PROTECTOR 2

Boss Suchart is the influential owner of a major elephant camp. When he was murdered in his own home – the killer delivered three fatal blows on his body – all evidence points to KHAM (Tony Jaa), who was present at the crime scene and was seen with the victim the moment before he died. Kham is forced to run as the police launch a pursuit. Meanwhile, the twin nieces of Boss Suchart (Jija Yanin Wismitanan and Teerada Kittisiriprasert) are out for revenge. But luck is on Kham’s side when he runs into Sergeant MARK (Mum Jokmok), an Interpol agent sent to Thailand on a secret mission.

As Kham is hunted by several parties, he’s also desperately searching for KHON, his elephant, whose disappearance is involved with Boss Suchart’s death. In another twist, Kham is drawn into an underground fighting ring run by LC (RZA), a crime lord who’s obsessed with collecting top-class martial artists from around the world. LC’s fighters are branded only by numbers, such as the lethal, beautiful TWENTY (Ratha Pho-ngam) and the diabolical NO.2 (Marrese Crump). These fighters are ordered to defeat and capture Kham for a special mission that LC has in mind.

A sequel of the global smash-hit “Tom Yam Goong” (or “The Protector”), TYG2-3D is an extreme fight movie, an endlessly intense, nerve-racking film full of fists, elbows, kicks and daredevil stunt scenes and amazingly choreographed fighting moves that will pump hot blood through the body of all action fans. All in the in-your-face 3D spectacle!

    SYNOPSIS

Melissa McCarthy and Susan Sarandon star in New Line Cinema’s comedy “Tammy,” marking Ben Falcone’s directorial debut.

Tammy (McCarthy) is having a bad day. She’s totaled her clunker car, gotten fired from her thankless job at a greasy burger joint, and instead of finding comfort at home, finds her husband getting comfortable with the neighbor in her own house.

It’s time to take her boom box and book it. The bad news is she’s broke and without wheels. The worse news is her grandma, Pearl (Sarandon), is her only option—with a car, cash, and an itch to see Niagara Falls. Not exactly the escape Tammy had in mind. But on the road, with grandma riding shot gun, it may be just what Tammy needs.

Joining Oscar® nominee Melissa McCarthy (“Bridesmaids”) and Academy Award® winner Susan Sarandon (“Dead Man Walking,”) are: Allison Janney (“The Help”) playing Tammy’s world-weary mom, Deb; Gary Cole (“Pineapple Express,” TV’s “VEEP”) as ladies man Earl; and Mark Duplass (TV’s “The Mindy Project”) as his son, Bobby; with Dan Aykroyd (“The Campaign”) as Don and Academy Award® winner Kathy Bates (“Misery,” “Midnight in Paris”) as Pearl’s fun-loving cousin Lenore. Rounding out the cast are Toni Collette (“Little Miss Sunshine”) in the role of the neighbor, Missi; and Nat Faxon (“Bad Teacher”) as Tammy’s husband, Greg.

    REPENTANCE

    REPENTANCE

    ABOUT REPENTANCE
From Lionsgate and Codeblack Films. Years after a drunken car crash that almost took his life, Tommy Carter (Anthony Mackie) has reinvented himself as a therapist/spiritual advisor who advocates a synthesis of world religions and positivity. He’s parlayed this vocation into a successful book release that one day draws the attention of Angel Sanchez (Forest Whitaker), a profoundly troubled man fixated on the “untimely” death of his mother. When Carter takes on Sanchez as a personal client in an effort to raise funds for his indebted brother Ben (Mike Epps), things quickly take a turn for the worse. Angel needs much more than a simple life coach.

What may be simple to grasp for some is the idea that single actions in the past comprise tidal waves of reactions in the present. Director Philippe Caland's REPENTANCE examines these issues against a backdrop of kidnapping and murder.

REPENTANCE will open on February 28, 2014, in limited release.
Cast: Forest Whitaker, Anthony Mackie, Mike Epps, Nicole Ari Parker, Sanaa Lathan

Mo'Nique and her husband Sidney Hicks are also Executive Producing the film through their NAACP Image Award winning Hicks Media production banner. Producers are Patrik-Ian Polk (Tall Skinny Black Boy Productions), Keith Brown (Kbiz Entertainment), Isaiah Washington (Coalhouse Productions) and Carol Ann Shine.

"Blackbird," which was shot on location in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, is based on the coming of age novel of the same name by Larry Duplechan.

"'Blackbird' is a film about the choices people are forced to make as they struggle to figure out how to be themselves. And why should just being who you are be a struggle?" explained Executive Producer Sidney Hicks. “Since Mo'Nique won the Oscar, we have received numerous scripts, but nothing captured our attention until Isaiah, who we have a high level of respect for, sent us Blackbird. We became instant fans of Patrik-Ian Polk and knew we had to get behind this important film."

Patrik Ian Polk said, "When we wrote the role of Claire Rousseau, we dreamed of attracting an A-list actress. So to actually get an Oscar winner of Mo'Nique's caliber was literally a dream come true. And she's quite simply amazing in the role."

Blackbird tells the story of 17-year-old Randy Rousseau (newcomer Julian Walker), a devout high school choir boy struggling to come of age in the small religiously conservative Mississippi town he calls home. Randy juggles his role as star of the church choir with facing the everyday trials of life as a high school misfit- a misfit plagued by eerie visions and premonitions. Complicating matters, his little sister has gone missing and his parents have subsequently split up, leaving him to care for his heartbroken mother, Claire (Mo’Nique). When Claire discovers a shocking secret her son has been hiding, she blames him for the disappearance of his sister. Randy’s father, Lance (Isaiah Washington), who has been keeping a watchful eye on his broken family, steps in to give his son a hand as he struggles to make the difficult transition into manhood.

In addition to Mo’Nique and Washington, the film stars newcomer Julian Walker, Terrell Tilford, Gary L. Gray, Kevin Allesee, Torrey Lamaar, Nikki Jane and D. Woods.

Mo’Nique is an award-winning stand-up comedian and actress. Her credits include the hit television series “The Parkers,” the late-night talk show “The Mo’Nique Show” and feature films “Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins,” “Domino,” “Phat Girlz,” “Two Can Play That Game” and “Precious”- for which she received an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, Independent Spirit Award, BAFTA Award, NAACP Image Award and a Sundance Special Jury Prize.

Isaiah Washington is a veteran of over 30 feature films with A-list directors including Clint Eastwood, Jonathan Demme and Spike Lee. His credits include “Crooklyn,” “Clockers,” “Girl 6,” “Get On The Bus,” “love jones,” “True Crime,” “Out Of Sight,” “Romeo Must Die,” and “Blue Caprice.” His television credits include “Soul Food,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Bionic Woman” and the upcoming CW drama series “The 100." He has received two NAACP Image Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Patrik-Ian Polk is an award-winning filmmaker best known for creating the hit TV series “Noah’s Arc” for MTV’s Logo network. His feature film credits include “Punks,” which premiered at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award, “Noah’s Arc: Jumping The Broom”, nominated for three NAACP Image Awards (Outstanding Film, Outstanding Writing, Outstanding Directing) and winner of the GLAAD Award for Best Film (2008) and “The Skinny."

Worldwide sales for the film are being handled by Hicks Media and attorney Ricky Anderson of Anderson & Smith.
