There's something magical about fishing, I mean what can be better than driving to the river bank,

throwing your bait into the water, popping open a cold can of beer or soda pop, talking out your lazy chair, because yo butt is gonna be lazy for awhile, and just when you're about to doze off into La La land, you notice out of the corner of your eye your fishing pole moving like crazy!

FISH ON! FISH ON! FISH ON!, and you jump up out of your chair in unexplainable excitement, and rush to your fishing pole, jerking it skyward to set the hook on that monster fish, and start reeling in like crazy watching the line zig-zag in the river water as you feel tremendous pressure from your monster fish, HOLD ON, don't let him get away! The battle is almost over and victory will soon be yours, but just when you're about to land your finned opponent, you get much to excited and and start to reel in too fast, while on the bottom where you can't see, the fish has snagged on some weeds.

SLOW DOWN MAN, DON'T REEL IN SO FAST! But it's too late, suddenly you can't feel the pressure on your line, and you realize the worst... DANG IT! I LOST HIM! Feeling dejected and hurt, because you lost your monster fish, and did'nt even get to see what kind of fish it was, you pack up and go home, vowing never to fish again. I HATE FISHING!!! But by the time the next week-end rolls around, you're right back on the river bank bright and early trying it again.

These Hybrid Striped Bass and Largemouths were caught at Barren River Lake in Kentucky they were caught on liver and nightcrawlers.

I had some great fishing days at the Mokelumne river close to Rio Vista California, which is about 50 miles from Sacramento. The place I fish is about 5 miles long and I have my own little holes along the way. I mostly catch catfish with an occasional stripped bass or largemouth bass. I mainly use chiken livers for bait, and sometimes minnows.

My buddies and I went fishing this past summer and cleaned up, catching and releasing 17 largemouth bass. We used dropshots with Aaron's Magic 4 inch worms.
