RED BULL TV ANNOUNCES NEW ORIGINAL PROGRAM, LET IT PLAY… FAULTLINES FEATURING RAPPER CHARLES HAMILTON SEARCHING TO ANSWER ‘WHAT HAPPENED TO CHARLES HAMILTON?’

Documentary by Grammy-Nominated Director Fred Scott Available Globally On Red Bull TV December 2nd

(New York, NY) -- Red Bull TV announced the release of a new original program, Faultlines, an emotional portrait of Harlem rapper Charles Hamilton and his story of survival and redemption.

Launching globally on Red Bull TV on December 2nd, the documentary was produced by Pulse Films and award-winning director Fred Scott. Shot over the course of a full year, Faultlines explores what happened to Charles Hamilton. The film follows him earning his second chance in the music industry by overcoming a troubled past and fighting to balance commercial success and personal happiness.

Faultlines is the second installment of Red Bull TV’s Let It Play… documentary series, a set of original and rare documentary-style films that highlight the untold story of brave musical artists. Each film in the series features a different director and artist.

Hamilton uses his music to communicate and heal the scars of his past. The journey chronicled in Faultlines is a deeply personal one that will surprise audiences and illuminate one of the most misunderstood and naturally-gifted artists of his generation.

In the late 2000s, critical praise and a million-dollar record deal made Hamilton’s future look bright, but everything was ripped away under a cloud of rumors and headlines. Navigating bouts of fame, bipolar disorder, a ruthless work ethic, drugs and even homelessness, Faultlines chronicles Hamilton’s incredible story.

"It was so important for me to share my story right now,” says Hamilton. “I'm grateful to my family for intervening because I didn't want help. I just wanted to create in my room in the dark. I have a newfound passion in advocating for artists, young people and other men of color that may be unsure of beginning the process toward wellness. I want to make an impact in this world, whether that's through my music or my life's story."

The film tracks his birth and upbringing in Cleveland to his compelling formative years producing at the Frederick Douglass Academy in Harlem as a member of the Demevolist crew and on through to a huge major-label deal with Interscope, his internal struggles, subsequent backslide and rebirth.

Beyond profiling Hamilton and his reemergence, Faultlines tackles larger themes including mental health issues and rehabilitation in America and how music can serve as the healing tool. The story also explores the true nature of success.

“I’ve always been compelled with Charles’ story,” says director Scott. “His bravery in telling his story has come at an increasingly pertinent time. Up until this year, [mental illness in the music industry has] been a subject that has been a taboo - but artists such as Charles are finally standing up and declaring that suffering is something not to be ashamed of. Our shared hope is that it may embolden others to do likewise and broaden understanding equally in those who suffer and the family and friends closest to them.”

Captured through what Scott calls an “intimate, self-shooting process,” viewers follow Hamilton through his second chance in music from his new home in Los Angeles to his emotional reunion in Harlem with the Demevolist crew. The deeply sourced documentary sheds light on a story that the artist has kept to himself for decades and includes interviews with some of the closest figures to him including his family, friends, doctors, manager and musical collaborators.

Faultlines will premiere globally on December 2nd and will be available On Demand on Red Bull TV across all devices.

To view the Faultlines trailer, please visit Red Bull TV.

HIP HOP ARTIST DEE-1 & CHUCK CREEKMUR HEADLINE
YOUTH SESSION NOV. 12 AT 5TH ANNUAL FINANCIAL FREEDOM CONFERENCE

Franklin Township, New Jersey – Musician Dee-1, hosted by AllHipHop.com’s Chuck Creekmur , will perform at 1 PM Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens (FBCLG), as one of the highlights of the 5th Annual dfree® Financial Freedom Conference. The conference will attract some 2,500 people who are working on achieving financial security to the Central Jersey area. This concert caps off the “Say Yes to a Brighter Future” youth segment of the conference, which is open to high school and college students and starts at 10 AM.

“Young people need to be educated about financial responsibility before they encounter pitfalls and so they are an essential part of the financial freedom movement,” said DeForest B. Soaries, Jr., dfree® Creator and founder of the dfree® Global Foundation, Inc. “If the young adults who attend this conference start saving now, they’ll be millionaires or greater by the time they are ready to retire. We plan to start them on the right track and Dee-1 and Chuck Creekmur will inspire them after a great day of training.”

Dee-1, whose given name is David Augustine Jr., was signed by RCA Inspiration in 2013. Among his singles, he celebrates paying off his student loans with the song “Sallie Mae Back.” Known as a positive hip-hop recording artist, Dee-1 promotes a lifestyle of self-empowerment and community service. Some of his songs have garnered over 1 million hits on YouTube.

Chuck Creekmur, AllHipHop.com co-founder and co-CEO, is a cultural critic and pundit who started his career as a freelance journalist. He and his high school friend, Greg Watkins, launched the website that has been dubbed by Essence magazine as “the CNN of hip-hop” in 1998.

“Say Yes to the Next Level,” Nov. 10-12, 2016, is intended to motivate existing dfree® participants to accomplish their goals and to attract new audiences. The conference will encourage participants to reevaluate personal values, habits, attitudes and relationships in order to prepare themselves to move toward financial wholeness. The $40 registration fee for the conference includes lunches and can be submitted online via: http://bit.ly/2cLAyxb.

The conference also features a power-packed lineup of speakers and performers, including:

  • Erica Campbell, the Grammy Award-winning recording artist & singer who formed gospel duo “Mary Mary”

  • Michelle Duffie, the CEO of D3 Entertainment who promoted blockbusters such as “War Room” and “Risen”

  • Lynnette Khalfani-Cox, the journalist who is known as The Money Coach

  • Navarrow Wright, president of Maximum Leverage Solutions

  • Kevin Johnson, Sacramento mayor and former NBA player

  • DeForest B. Soaries, Jr., senior pastor, author and creator of the dfree® Financial Freedom Movement

  • Dharius Daniels, senior pastor, Kingdom Church of New Jersey

  • Billy H. Stanfield, Jr., senior pastor, Impact Church in Georgia

  • Jay Cameron, senior pastor, The Life Center in Maryland

  • Avis Yates Rivers, president and CEO, Technology Concepts Group International

  • Olivia Stoner, Esq., Stoner Law Offices, Philadelphia

  • Kemberley Washington, CPA, author, educator and personal finance news contributor

  • “When you are paying last month’s bills with next week’s check, when you’re drowning in consumer debt, you’ve lost options and lost control of your life. You’re existence promotes the welfare of others,” Soaries said. “We have to have this conversation. The reality is that we’re spending without thinking. Most Americans, in general, and African Americans, in particular, live without a budget. We don’t have spending plans or savings. We have no emergency fund. We don’t have a retirement plan or investments. In a capitalistic society, to have no capital capacity is to be non-existent.”

The dfree® Financial Freedom Movement is a practical yet holistic approach to financial security that exposes root causes of negative financial habits and provides financial literacy, faith-based methods and community support to help individuals achieve and maintain financial success.

The informative, uplifting and celebratory financial freedom conference is being held at FBCLG, 771 Somerset Street, Somerset, New Jersey 08873. The Campbell event takes place in the Main Sanctuary. The conference includes concerts, networking, youth activities and dfree® training and support. Sessions are available for beginners through seasoned dfree® participants.

The title sponsor for the conference is Prudential Financial, with Wells Fargo, Lyft, Stand Together, Griffin Capital Funding and others also participating as sponsors. Those seeking sponsorship opportunities should contact Khristi Adams, kadams@mydfree.org.

    SUPA SOOP "A.W.O.L"

Hello my name is Supa Soop I'm a Hip Hop artist from Cleveland, Ohio Located in Richmond, Virginia. I am a US Army reserve soldier currently serving also and I'm just like every other artist trying to get a blog post and possible review for my project on the HipHop Since 1987 Website.

What makes me different from most artist is my military background and me willing to speak on it. I am currently headlining my 2nd tour "Freedom Tour 2016". Yes i know WOW. May not be a big deal to you but it is to me because I've worked extremely hard to get to this point and I just touched Los Angeles California. Here is my latest project called A.W.O.L which stands for Adversity Will Outline Life.

A.W.O.L is a representation of the journey I took in my life from the time I decided to enlist in the military to the time I was relieved from training. If I were to compare it this is like my version of Big K.R.I.T's "Forever and A Day". I'm sure if you have ever made a decision out of desperation you can relate.

A.W.O.L is set to go live on Spotify ITunes Google play Spinrilla and Soundcloud May 30th Memorial Day. I hope you enjoy this project just as much as I enjoyed making it. #AWOL #FreedomTour2016

Bennaton Releases New Sizzling Music Video

It’s time to get elevated with Bennaton Music, a new group with a new wave of sound. Blending different genres together to achieve a soulful sound with their melodic rhymes and silky grooves, Benetton music is definitely a breath of fresh air, providing different cultures blending different sounds.

Based out of Northern New Jersey, the diversity between these two friends-turned-business associates looks like a United Colors of Benetton ad, yet sounds like Drake stepped into 90s-themed party hosted by Diplo. In other words, they have a Hip-Hop based sound with an old school R&B vibe over trap drums. BTTN finds beauty in differences and welcome the idea of bringing people, of all walks of life, together by way of music.

UNASHAMED WORLD, Film Featuring Artist Lecrae, In Theaters June 1

Six-time #1 artist Lecrae joins forces with director Art Hooker, great-nephew of blues legend, to tell the story of the Unashamed World movement

March 4, 2016 – Dallas, TX – A 17-year project spanning ten countries and thirty-seven cities while capturing over 10,000 hours of footage, UNASHAMED WORLD is the high-energy, deeply personal story of Lecrae’s Cinderella rise from a garage start-up artist to a global phenomenon.

Granting unprecedented access to Lecrae and fellow artists from the 116 Clique, the film features exclusive interviews, fan-generated videos, personal home videos – including footage of Lecrae’s visit to Ferguson, Mo. after the 2014 demonstrations, concert footage, and dramatic re-enactments to create a riveting 85-minute musical journey.

TheatriCast, the distribution initiative between Different Drummer and Tugg, will premiere the film June 1 as a one-night, fan-driven theatrical event in more than 200 cinemas nationwide.

A former Citi Group executive and the great nephew of blues legend and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Lee Hooker, director Art Hooker spent more than a decade in seven different countries studying passion, creativity, and social movements which became the thematic framework for the creation of UNASHAMED WORLD.

“I’m continually fascinated by how small, seemingly insignificant moments have the capacity to grow into a global phenomenon,” said film writer & director Art Hooker. “I’m grateful for the chance to observe some of these incredible people from a ‘front-row seat’ and believe this film can inspire the next generation of movement-starters.”

Hooker worked on the film exclusively with Reach Records and the leaders of the global 116 Clique – Lecrae, Trip Lee, Tedashii, Andy Mineo, Sho Baraka, KB, Derek Minor, and DJ Official – who have ten million fans world-wide and growing. From logo engraved tombstones to tattooed fans, the UNASHAMED WORLD story is about more than music; it’s a lifestyle that crosses age, socio-economic, racial, and global boundaries.

“UNASHAMED WORLD is made for the fans by the fans,” said Erik Lokkesmoe, the film’s executive producer and principal at Different Drummer. “We’ve designed a marketing and distribution plan – from theater locations to field teams to social – that is very ‘open source.’ It’s the future of distribution – create the platform and let the fans write their own ‘code’ on it. “

Beyond the U.S. theatrical release, UNASHAMED WORLD is pursuing global releases, home entertainment, and ancillary products and tours.

TheatriCast is asking fans to help determine the theaters where UNASHAMED WORLD will premiere by submitting demands on www.unashamedworld.com. EMERGING Raptivist STAR Justified Rocks The City Of VictorVille As He Releases Hit " I'm Blessed With Popular Online Store Mondontunes"

Los Angeles, Ca- August 13, 2015- Wrapping up an impressive week with winning an award from MY MUSIC, MY MIC, an Inland Empire California award show that Justified was one of a few to be honored at. It becomes even more apparent that community and soon to be worldwide raptivist, who is often compared to the late rapper Tupac Shakur. Justified mildly covered community issues, that has represented a movement in hip-hop, demanding artistic versatility, lyricism, and a message of authenticity from its new stars. The bar is finally set for excellence and Justified is the front-runner to community related issues, single father empowerment and many more world changing topics to grace us through his lyrics.

On August 8th, 2015 with the promotion of “I’m Blessed” single, Justified partnered with Street Positive and “Community Action Partnership” through his community out reach program “Men Of Faith In Action”. Justified and partners graced five hundred plus fathers and families with donations from BAMIT ENT and the local Target from the city of Hesperia to demonstrate the spirit of blessing others. Through the demonstration of strength toward the direction of the pursuit of happiness, this community raptivist has a story that has warmed hearts all around the community in front of Inland Empire and Los Angeles County.

His motivation behind the music has opened the eyes of many who were left to be widowers or in a single father position. In 2013 while in the midst of writing a hit song “All I Ever Wanted” for his mother he was contacted and alerted that his mother had passed away from a life long fight with Lupus and eleven months later his rapping partner and wife passed away from stage four cancer. With violence doubling in the streets and a strong need for community leaders to step up, Justified stepped to the plate even during a time of mourning as he wrote and started to create a soon to be released single “Mourning After”.

    The Legendary R&B/Hip-Hop Super Group

Jodeci Returns After 18 Year Hiatus

    Jodeci

Jodeci the R&B/Hip-Hop powerhouse that dominated the 1990’s and pioneered a sound that would inspire artists for decades has returned with new music after an 18 year hiatus. The new song from Jodeci titled, “Nobody Wins,” features rapper B.O.B. and is a powerful record with an important anti-domestic violence message

December 22, 2014 — New York, NY — One of the most impactful artists of the 1990’s has returned after an 18 year hiatus. The super group responsible for unforgettable records such as “Come and Talk to Me,” “Forever My Lady,” and “Feenin”, gave fans a sneak peek at their newest record “Nobody Wins” with a performance at the Soul Train Awards last month on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014. Jodeci performed a snippet of the record as part of a medley performance of the group’s most popular hit songs.

Now, Jodeci has followed up the Soul Train Awards performance with a lyric video for “Nobody Wins”, with an anti-domestic violence message. The video is available now at: http://youtu.be/Q2Ce7hpNV2o

In fact, Jodeci has continued to record records over the past 18 years. However, the group didn’t feel a cohesive creative direction until now. "We've recorded hundreds of songs, even if it's bits and pieces and fragments of songs that we could probably live off of for the rest of our lives," Mr. Dalvin explained to RollingStone Magazine. "But when creating this album, we chose a body of work that really represents us as a group and represents what people are expecting to hear from Jodeci as a group. People will be pleasantly surprised."

Jodeci feels that now is the time to return with new music. But the group feels that their return comes with a responsibility. As an important group that has always had a voice in culture, Jodeci wants to return with great music that also serves to entertain and inspire. “Nobody Wins” is a record that discourages domestic violence and violence in general and is a message personal to each member of Jodeci.

“We aren’t immune to issues that are important in our community. Domestic violence has always been an issue in relationships, but lately it’s been brought to the front of our community consciousness,” K-Ci explains. Jodeci is scheduling the release of their new album in the first quarter of 2015, which will officially celebrate the powerhouse group’s triumphant return to music.

“Nobody Wins” is available for purchase at iTunes and all digital retailers https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/nobody-wins-feat.-b.o.b.-single/id954016651

Los Angeles, CA (Dec 5, 2014): Bringing Hip Hop’s underground Battle Rap genre to a new level, and to a global audience, without watering down credibility, Alki David and FilmOn Networks’ ETV.com will stage the Battle Rap event of the year, Saturday at The Belasco Theater in Los Angeles.

Cassidy is the veteran battle rapper who David lured out of retirement for the event to face off against the genre’s biggest star Dizaster. At a press conference at the Beverly Hills studios of FilmOn, the two squared off (Cassidy appearing via telepresence from the Bahamas courtesy of another company David owns, Hologram USA) and traded verses so brutal they no doubt would have come to blows if they’d been on stage together in reality.

The pay per view event on ETV follows previous success streaming Akon live from the Congo for the U.N.’s Day of Peace, a fight between YouTube star Antoine Dodson and the “Bed Intruder” and the one of a kind Bone Thugs N Harmony reunion show.

Etv.com lets artists and producers create their own pay per view events with complete control—and make money doing it. It’s the single most user friendly and profitable method to create your own live televised event. Read about how it works here.

Fans can log in for the Dec. 6 Battle Rap event at ETV.com/rap. The base price for the event is $19.95.

Though it is almost sold out, fans can also purchase tickets for the live event at The Belasco Theater. Prices range from $40 up to a Total Access VIP package that includes an artist meet and greet.

In an innovative, first of its kind, twist, Alki David will provide a live hologram performance of the entire show outside the theater via Hologram USA technology and mobile trucks for fans on lower budgets at $19.95. Food trucks will accompany the event. Complete information, ticket purchase and directions available here.

As the Creative Director for the website and the Project Manager of the mixtape I have grabbed artist from all over Florida to bring the world a taste of Florida’s hip-hop scene. We have teamed up with Cool Running DJs, 24k Mixtapes and Coast 2 Coast Mixtape DJ’s own DJ Seizure out of Miami, FL to bring you the 8th Volume in his series “No County Lines” hosted by Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes CEO Lil Fats.

We have invested thousands of dollars in PR for this mixtape because we believe that each and every artist that we have hand selected are the best in their city to represent Florida. You may think of these artist as ambassadors of Florida hip-hop in hopes that people from all over the world will pay a little closer attention to what’s coming out of the State of Florida.

    Mixtape Name:

Lil Fats (CEO of Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes)

    Affiliates:

    Bio:
FloridaMixtapes.com & DJ Seizure in association with Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes have teamed up to bring you volume 8 of “No County Lines” hosted by none other than Lil Fats. No County Lines Volume 8 has nothing but RAW FLORIDA FYAH!!! All song submissions for this mixtape came from some of Florida’s most unrated independent urban artist. Volume 8 has features from some major sluggers in the game including 3 members of Maybach Music Group. One of the goals of FloridaMixtapes.com is to musically connect all of Florida from Pensacola to Jacksonville to Miami, bringing the panhandle to the swamps and the swamps to the beaches. The primary objective of our new website though is to package and market Florida’s goldmine of hard working urban artist and facilitate that work ethic through new marketing strategies.
