The Cinderella Syndrome: When The Glass Slipper No Longer Fits
by Tann Moore
Moore has created a clever guide for women! This work shines light on relationships; how to avoid the wrong ones, and how to nurture the healthy ones. The author starts by saying Cinderella was passive and allowed herself to be taken advantage of by her stepmother and stepsisters.
The Cinderella Syndrome will make the reader yearn for a relaxing foot massage while they ponder events and relationships in everyday life. Throughout the book Moore uses the analogy of soles of feet being the support of the body and the soul being the foundation for the spirit which in essence promotes emotional well being. Maintaining healthy feet is just as important as balancing everything else in life.
Moore says, “The Cinderella Syndrome will help you improve self-esteem, and improve relationships.” But, it will also provide humor, guidance, and support as it does so.

DT: Who is Tann Moore? What are your dreams and aspirations?
TM: If I had to describe myself in a few words I would use the words: loving, sensitive, humble, strong, creative, ambitious, and spiritual. I aspire to affect and infect this world with the healing power of the Fine Arts. I know that I have personally been forever changed by a certain song, movie, or poem. I want to make someone laugh when they want to cry. I want to make them feel empowered when they feel they are too weak to take another step. I want to awaken hope in the hopeless. I believe I will do all of these things using the power of performance and the written word.
DT: Who inspires you? What do you do when you're not writing?
TM: I get inspiration from everyone and everything I come in contact with, but I think I am most inspired by my mother. She has done been a source of strength, style and elegance in my life and I hope I am half the mother she is to me. When I’m not writing I am acting. I am a classically trained actress with my roots in the theater. I am currently making the transition to film and television here in Los Angeles.

DT: Please provide a brief synopsis of The Cinderella Syndrome. Why did you write The Cinderella Syndrome? Who are your intended readers?
TM: This book inspires women to first look inward before looking to the actions of others to make choices. Be assured that this book exists for everyone; single, married, divorced, and looking for love within or without. No matter who you are, this book will help you extinguish years of stifling ideas.
This book is about revealing the true you, embracing you and all that represents you. This journey will move you forward with a new knowledge that will forever increase your joy for living happily ever after. I wrote this book because I wanted women and men alike to be reminded that we already have everything we need. We have to stop looking to external forces to make us feel happy and complete.
I also wanted to introduce a new genre of self-help book called “Hip-Help.”™ “Hip-Help”™ is a practical and entertaining approach to self-evaluation and self-elevation that instead of terminology and statistics uses stories and everyday analogies to make the point. This is the kind of self-help book you can read before you go to bed and never need a thesaurus or dictionary. I wrote this book with women in mind, but I always tell my customers, “Even a woman’s book is a man’s book if it will increase both understanding and harmony between the sexes.”
DT: Was this a difficult writing project? Why/Why not?
TM: It was such a pleasure writing this book, but printing and editing was very challenging. There are just so many unforeseen and unexpected things that can happen during these two processes.
DT: If you were alone on a deserted island with one book what would it be?
TM: If I were alone on a deserted island with just one book, that book would be my journal. I would want to be alone with my own words, thoughts and revelations. The amazing thing about the written word is that it will never come back void. Believe it or not, feelings of isolation can be cured by writing things down. Many are unaware of the cathartic nature of writing your thoughts down on paper.
