General Information   The Wonder of You

February is the month for lovers. At least that is what commercials would have you believe. I am not much of a romantic, but occasional flowers are wonderful to receive. There is no shame in buying flowers for you, in fact, I highly recommend it. The flower of choice for men is roses. Easy, right?

I have only had one beloved who gave me my actual Favorite flower, tulips. The look on his face when I said they were my favorite flowers was priceless and for us, tulips were the flower of choice. I lost him years ago, but every spring I make sure to purchase tulips for myself. Why not? They are beautiful, long lasting and I Love them!

Are you alone this February? Fear not, for this month can be all about you! Take the time to treat yourself well this month. The weather is brutal why not consider a weekend getaway with your girls or guys to warmer climes. A little rich for your pocket? Book a hotel room for a weekend of solitude and sloth. Trust me; sleeping all day, shopping and eating well will rejuvenate your spirit. Who doesnít like an amazing meal they donít have to cook.

Be sure to bring some wine and refreshments, no need to give the hotel all your money. Save that for shopping. Live near a major city? There is so much to do find something that meets your needs and then buy yourself a ticket!

I am so lucky to live near Washington DC. So much of DC is free that booking a room and staying a weekend is a real treat. I personally love the National Zoo and the National Aquarium in Baltimore and have no issue in going alone.

Alone gives me time to absorb the natural beauty of the zoo, watch the animals to my heartís content and not have to worry about hearing ďAre you done?Ē Ditto for the aquarium.

Do something for yourself this month. It need not be a grand gesture, could be as simple as unplugging the phone, turning off the computer and eat the leftovers from your restaurant dinner the night before. Celebrate yourself this month!
